A Euclidean’s Guide to Passports

Planet Euclid Passport

In the last blog post, we shared our vision behind Planet Euclid and how its design makes it the growth engine of DeFi. It is only accessible with Passports. Starting December 15th, anyone without a Passport can buy one on OpenSea or MagicEden as they become tradeable. Users who own Passports today have expanded their footprint to 50+ chains with just a few clicks, exemplifying the growing impact of the Euclid protocol in Web3.

In this blog post, let’s talk about how to make the most out of Passports. We’ll walk through collectibles like stamps and the ASTRA points system, which serves as verifiable proof of effort for Passports in Planet Euclid. This piece is also a tutorial on performing different actions on Planet Euclid.

Let’s Get Started!

The Planet Euclid Economy

ASTRA is a Passport’s proof-of-effort in Planet Euclid. Completing each mission awards ASTRA points, climbing your Passport up the leaderboard as you progress through missions. Each mission on Planet Euclid achieves three goals:

  • Helps you experience Euclid Protocol’s liquidity unification in action.
  • Expands your on-chain footprint in numerous chains.
  • Awards ASTRA.

As Passports accumulate ASTRA, they unlock more rewards, platform discounts, and exclusive access to select missions. ASTRA is like the reflection of a Passport’s on-chain activity, and each tier also awards ranks. Passports start as ‘Wanderer,’ and only the hardest working ones make it to ‘Oracle of Euclid.’

Remember, you must have a Passport to access Planet Euclid. If you don’t already own one, go to OpenSea or MagicEden to buy one today. Now, let’s discuss what you can actually do with Passports and how to perform different actions.

Explore Planet Euclid

Passports are like digital scorecards for tracking Planet Euclid activity, stamps, ranks, and mission completion. All these traits are tied to individual Passports, not the user’s wallet, so that participants can buy and sell their efforts. A Passport’s uniqueness and value depend on its features:

  • ASTRA points accumulated
  • Rank obtained
  • Stamps collected
  • Missions completed

The first step to entering Planet Euclid is to get yourself a Passport.

How to Buy a Passport

Starting December 15th, Planet Euclid Passports became tradeable. Any user can go to OpenSea or MagicEden to buy a listed Passport and enter Planet Euclid. Follow these steps to acquire one:

  1. Visit OpenSea or MagicEden Passport Collections
  2. Compare Passport designs, traits, points, ranks, stamps, and list price, and find one to buy
  3. Go to Planet Euclid Explorer and re-verify marketplace traits. Ensure checking the following:
    • ASTRA points
    • Rank
    • Stamps
    • Completed Missions

If everything checks out, go back to the marketplace and follow these steps:

  1. Connect wallet (you need a wallet that supports the Polygon network)
  2. Ensure you have enough POL to cover gas and WETH for buying the Passport
  3. On the Passport’s listing page, click ‘Buy Now’ and complete the transaction

✅ You now own the Passport.

Now you can access Planet Euclid. If you’re a new user buying Passport for the first time, the onboarding sequence on Planet Euclid.

If you own multiple Passports with the same wallet, use the following management features:

Managing Multiple Passports:

  1. Unclaimed Passports: Newly bought Passports show up as ‘unclaimed’ on Planet Euclid. You must claim these Passports before doing missions using them.
  2. Setting Primary Passport: You can own multiple Passports from a wallet at a time. If you do, setting one as your primary for missions is essential. You can change the primary Passport at any time.

Watch the following video to see the journey from buying to managing multiple Passports.

How to Use Passports

Once you have a Passport, there’s a lot you can do with it on Planet Euclid. Here is a list of the main features that will form the core of your experience.

Check Passport Stats

Checking your Passport’s stats on Planet Euclid is the first thing you should do after buying a new one. Hit the ‘Passport’ tab on the Dashboard to enter the stats page. Verifying the following stats is essential:

  • Collected ASTRA, stamps, and the rank
  • Missions completed
  • Displayed wallet address matches yours

Check Stamps

The Passport you bought may have stamps earned from completing previous quests. Stamps are tied to the Passport, not the owner, so buying one also includes all points, stamps, activities, and history.

Customize Your Passport

You bought a Passport, but don’t like how it looks? Customize the look and make it your own. The following attributes are customizable:

  • Avatar
  • Background
  • Display name

Keep checking the customization menu, as we often add new design options (which may help you stand out from other listings). Follow this video to see how to customize:

Explore Missions

Missions sit at the core of the Planet Euclid experience. Each mission has specific objectives that you must complete before it expires to earn ASTRA. They will have you interact with one or more networks, expanding your presence across all of them without even leaving the Euclid ecosystem.

Every now and then, we’ll introduce new missions in collaboration with our partners, offering rewards beyond ASTRA and the Euclid ecosystem.

Hit the ‘Missions’ tab on the Dashboard to find missions.

Unify Wallets

Unifying the relevant wallets is extremely important before you proceed with any mission. While completing missions on Planet Euclid, you will interact with several chains, and you must link your wallets to the networks involved in the mission so we can track your progress.

For example, if you’re performing a mission involving transactions on Unichain, you must link your wallet on Unichain with the Passport; otherwise, your progress will not count towards mission completion. You can link up to 10 wallets at a time with your Passport. Once a mission is completed, you can safely unlink the wallet and proceed to another mission. Follow the instructions to link/unlink wallets:

Steps:

  1. Go to the ‘Wallet’ tab on Planet Euclid Dashboard.
  2. Click ‘Add New Network.’
  3. Select the desired network to unify with the Passport.

Note: To link a Cosmos network, you will need an additional Keplr or Leap wallet, in addition to your EVM wallet used to buy the Passport.

Start Missions

After unifying the relevant wallets, you can now start participating in missions. All the missions are visible on the ‘Missions’ tab on the Dashboard.

Make sure to:

  • Unify wallets from all the relevant networks
  • Manually start a mission before performing required actions
  • Complete 100% of the mission before the expiry to receive ASTRA
  • Claim ASTRA after completion

Claim Mission Reward

Once the mission status indicates ‘completed’ and progress is 100%, you’re eligible to claim the reward. ASTRA from completed missions will not accumulate unless you claim the reward first.

Use Referral Code

As a Euclidean, you get rewards and discounts on Euclid Swap. You will earn 5 ASTRA every time another wallet on Euclid Swap uses your referral code.

We will also introduce codes for fee rebates in the future.

Revoke Passports

While completing missions on Planet Euclid, you may use, buy, and sell multiple passports and several wallets in different chains.

We have added a ‘Revoke’ feature so you can check whether your address is linked to a Passport you’re no longer using.

Steps:

  1. Go to ‘Revoke Passport’ from the Dashboard
  2. On the Revoke Portal, select the desired chain and enter your wallet address
  3. If you find one no longer in use, hit ‘Revoke’
  4. Sign the transaction
  5. The Passport is now disconnected from that wallet

Watch the following video to see how to use Revoke:

Be a Part of the Growth Engine

Planet Euclid is not just about promoting the adoption of Euclid protocol; it is also about empowering early adopters. Unification is the ethos of the Euclid ecosystem, meaning users shouldn’t have to be mindful of using multiple networks for any DeFi operation, and all interactions should execute under the hood, including messaging and liquidity management.

Just like you don’t worry about which server is fetching the data when you watch a YouTube video, Euclid enables you to not worry about which networks are fetching the liquidity for executing your on-chain operations most efficiently.

Euclid Protocol’s vision is to bring users back to the fundamentals of DeFi — empowering users with transparency, accessibility, and control over their financial activities — making DeFi great again!
